About Our Practice

As a plastic surgeon in Fort Worth he enjoys a mixed practice. While many of the procedures he performs are elective or cosmetic, most are reconstructive. Dr. Bumagin enjoys treating skin cancer. He also treats patients who require wound care, in addition to those who desire procedures to improve their appearance and self esteem.

Dr. Bumagin has a special interest in laser procedures which includes skin rejuvenation procedures (PhotoFacial), tattoo removal and treatment of spider veins and rosacea. All laser treatments are performed only by Dr. Bumagin. In 1994 Dr. Bumagin, as President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Ft Worth, Southwest, started a program to remove tattoos from former gang members. His club collaborated with The Lena Pope Home, Fort Worth Police Department, Benbrook Police Department and later with the Boys and Girls Club, Comin’ Up Program. Dr. Bumagin’s program was one of the first in the state to provide treatments to deserving youth in return for community service at No Charge or for a nominal fee. Dr. Bumagin has been interviewed by the Fort Worth Star Telegram as well as the Dallas Morning News and numerous articles have appeared in both publications over the years, as well as television coverage of the clinics by Channel 5 and Channel 11. The program became incorporated as the Tattoo Removal for Youth Foundation as a 501c3 nonprofit corporation in 1999. Since its inception he has treated hundreds of patients and helped change the lives of many deserving youth.

A true believer in community service Dr. Bumagin has worked as a docent at The Fort Worth Zoo and The Museum of Science and History. Dr. Bumagin has also been a contributing columnist to the Fort Worth Star Telegram and author of the book, Exploring Fort Worth With Children (2000).
